POV- THE MUSIC SUCKS AND YOUR DESPERATE TO SAVE PROM NIGHT “Who’s controlling the music?” I was known to mask my annoyance well, but even so the group of girls in front of me could sense my irritation. “It can’t be Midnight, she likes us enough to spare us the torture. It cant be Mic, he knows better. I’ll even take out All Might. We all know he can get down to the right songs.” I started ruling out potential candidates; something I did best. “It can’t be Eraser he was just sleeping!’’ Mina joined in on the process of elimination. Together we desperately tried to figure it out, but quickly gave up. “Too much thinking. I’m just going up to see this for myself. Whoever it is, they need to be fired.” I went alone, weaving through the stilt bodies that crowded the dance floor. There was no dancing, or singing. Just low chatter and awkward laughter. I couldn't stand to be caught up in this embarrassment. I love to party and I’ve been looking forward to prom since middle school, so no way was I about to let some DJ black tape my night. When I finally pushed through to the front, my eardrum nearly exploded when the bass dropped on the loud speakers. This needed to stop. I looked up, focusing my gaze on the culprit. Ectoplasm. Fucking Ectoplasm. I smacked my lips but it fell deaf. I couldn’t get his attention with this mess blazing, so I needed to move quick before the night couldn’t be restored. I looked around a couple of times, but eventually my attention averted to a group of my 1-A classmates just mingling. I needed Bakugo because he’d offer words of encouragement-a quick “move your asses!” rung through my head, Todoroki because he was handsome, Kirishima because he can deadlift eight times my body weight, and for the fun of it, I’d let Midoriya tag along. “Yo. I need so help saving prom.” Their heads snapped in my direction, giving me eyes of automatic approval. “Just don’t look up okay?” “What kind of man do you think I am?!” Kirishima dug his fingers into my thigh making sure I felt secure. “Let’s get a move on! We’re about to dethrone Ectoplasm and salvage the night.” The four of them moved fast to get to the front while I just watched from above Eijiro’s shoulders. “MR. ECTOPLASM. HEY! DOWN HE-.... bro. ECTOPLASM! HEY!” I waved my arms sporadically, but to no avail. Eventually I quit, and decided, what the hell? I stood on Kirishima’s shoulder’s maximizing my height to the fullest. I leaped forward, gripping the ledge of where the hero was stationed. I pulled myself up, and rolled onto safe ground. “Y/N L/N. What in the world are you doing?” I quickly felt around for my phone, then remembered that it was in my bag the whole time. “Music’s on me now. All might called you for something, I don’t know what.’’ I focused on the task in front of me and AUTOMATICALLY changed the playlist. The man shrugged and left without prying. There was an obvious change in everyone’s attitude as it shifted to a looser one, gradually people began to sing and dance. Aftermath. 45 minutes later, Ectoplasm still stood outside of All might’s office, waiting for a response to his knock.
